How to find your pickup day

Warren is split into collection zones by weekday. Find your zone on the city's Sanitation Collection Days map (PDF). It is an older map, so if it doesn't match what you see on your street, check the city's sanitation page.

Holiday delay rule

When a holiday falls on a weekday, pickup runs one day late for the rest of that week. The normal schedule resumes the following week.

Upcoming holiday weeks

“Published schedule” means the city, township, or hauler posted this week's changes. “Based on holiday rule” means we applied the published rule to the calendar; confirm closer to the date.

Recycling

Warren has curbside recycling. See the city's Sanitation Division page for the details for your street.

Yard waste: when the season ends

Curbside compost runs April 1 – December 1, 2026. The city Recycling Center takes compost year-round.

Bulk items

Set large items (carpet, appliances, furniture, mattresses) neatly next to your trash containers on pickup day. Cut carpet into 4-foot lengths, rolled and tied. Empty refrigerators and freezers and remove the doors. Air conditioners and dehumidifiers need the Freon removed, with a proof sticker. Not accepted: dirt, sod, bricks, rocks, tires, or household hazardous waste.
