Holiday delay rule

If your pickup day is on or after a weekday holiday that week, it is one day late (Friday moves to Saturday). Weekend holidays cause no delay.

Upcoming holiday weeks

“Published schedule” means the city, township, or hauler posted this week's changes. “Based on holiday rule” means we applied the published rule to the calendar; confirm closer to the date.

Recycling

Recycling goes to the curb by 7 a.m. on your scheduled collection day in your 64-gallon Priority Waste recycling container. Put #1-7 plastics, flattened cardboard, glass jars and bottles, cans, newspapers and pots and pans in it, rinsed; no plastic bags.

Compost and yard waste: when pickup starts and ends

The 2026 season started Mar 16, 2026. The last pickup is the week of Dec 7; the season ends Fri Dec 11, 2026.

Pickup should resume in mid-March 2027.

Priority Waste lists December 4 as the last pickup; the city says December 11.
