Which holidays delay trash?
Metro Detroit haulers move pickup for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas when they fall on a weekday. Other holidays, including Veterans Day, Columbus Day, MLK Day and Presidents' Day, usually don't change pickup, though a few city-run crews (like Grosse Pointe's) also shift for MLK Day and Presidents' Day. Check your town's page for its exact rule.
