| Your pickup day | Pickup runs Monday–Friday by area. Check the city's refuse collection schedule map. |
| Holiday rule | When a holiday falls on a weekday, pickups on or after the holiday that week run one day late. That's the rule on the city's 2026 recycling calendar and Priority Waste's page. Weekend holidays cause no change. |
| Thanksgiving 2026 (week of Nov 23) | Mon–Wed normal; Thursday to Friday, Friday to Saturday |
| Christmas 2026 (week of Dec 21) | Mon–Thu normal; Friday to Saturday |
| New Year's 2027 (week of Dec 28) | Mon–Thu normal; Friday to Saturday |
| Recycling | Recycling is every other week (Week A or Week B), in 96-gallon carts from Priority Waste, since July 6, 2026. Find your week on the city's refuse map and 2026 recycling calendar. Thanksgiving week (Nov 22–28) is a Week A. |
| Yard waste ends | Fri Dec 11, 2026 |
| Bulk items | Bulk pickup must be scheduled with Priority Waste (586-228-1200) at least 3 business days ahead, by 3 pm. Limit 3 items or 8 bags. Set items out on a non-recycling day and remove refrigerator doors. |
